Activity Details:
This tour takes place inside Torres del Paine National Park and its surroundings, mainly along public roads and trails authorized by CONAF. Departure time varies depending on the month of the year, as we start before sunrise, the time of day when pumas are most active.
Around midday, when pumas are usually less active and resting, we return to EcoCamp to have lunch and relax. In the afternoon, we head out again for a second excursion and return to EcoCamp with the last light of the day.
The main goal of the tour is puma tracking and observation, but it is also possible to spot other local wildlife species and enjoy photographing the breathtaking landscapes.
It is important to note that pumas are completely wild animals. Each day we begin the search from scratch, and sometimes they can be difficult to find or located far away. Sightings are not guaranteed, but our many years of experience significantly increase the chances of success.
The tour includes a guide/driver in a 4×4 vehicle. Our guides are certified to operate within Torres del Paine National Park and have extensive knowledge not only about pumas, but also about the local flora, fauna, geology, and history. They speak advanced English.
During the tour, we provide binoculars and a spotting scope to bring nature closer to our visitors.
